Elections to the Council are held every four years, the next elections being May 2011, subject to the election being contested i.e. having more than seven nominations for election, otherwise the nominations will automatically be elected.

Every year the Council elect a Chairman and Vice Chairman from among them to stand for one year.

The Council employ a Clerk to carry out the administrative requirements of the Council.
